While the interior photos look spooky, the photo set is accompanied by reporting about the kinds of jobs and working conditions that this warehouse has brought to the area. I’m linking first for the photos, second to pose a few questions about the societal shifts and unseen costs of online shopping: What is the cost of shopping like this to a developed society? What does online shopping do for an economy on a regional basis? Finally, is it worth the societal costs to have nearly instantaneous order fulfillment and next day delivery?
