Follow Me:

Almost Autumn by Jon Armstrong.

Almost Autumn

The trees are turning in the mountains, but before I get all yellow leafy on this piece, I thought I’d share this shot from a tree in Seattle. This shot was an afterthought, but I liked the depth of field and the mildly indeterminate light source(s).

I also like what happened to the sky with the processing, as if someone did an airbrushed background for a vintage cartoon. I’m struggling to write more. I think I’ve stayed true to my goal of at least one good essay a month here. However. I think I can do better than that. Just not today, not right now. Soon.

Affirmation: You can do this. Whatever this is looking like today.

Jon, I LOVE this shot. (Just made it my desktop background, in fact.)

Which is a problem, because now I want to hide/minimize all my windows and look at my screen all day…

Japanese maple or regular maple turning red?

I think this is a Japanese maple.
