Whoa. Whoa. Whoa.
January 14th, 2009I hope he gets the help he needs:
Apple CEO Jobs to take leave of absence for health issues – Jan. 14, 2009
I don’t think this means Apple is “over” or that great products aren’t on the horizon.
I might be in denial.
UPDATE: Gruber links to this NYTimes story. I’ll repeat the most important paragraph:
“Two people who are familiar with Mr. Jobs’s current medical treatment said he was not suffering from a recurrence of cancer, but a condition that was preventing his body from absorbing food. Doctors have also advised him to cut down on stress, which may be making the problem worse, these people said.”
Don’t freak. o

Thanks for sharing!
In the future, could you use the contact email instead of a comment? I think other commenters might appreciate it.
Sure Jon…
sorry, laziness on my part…you know the whole having to open Hotmail and such is so exhausting
.
No kidding. If the company can’t innovate without them, well – sink or swim time.
I mean, I hope he is OK for HIM. Not really necessarily for Apple – as much as I love Apple.
I would assume that Jobs alone is not responsible for all the great things Apple has done/is doing — even though he certainly deserves credit for standing at the helm of such an incredible ship — so I wish him the best and hope that I’m right about Apple’s infrastructure!
