Dreamy Guggenheim

A shot from the hip, full auto mode and heavily processed. Didn’t even stop to chimp my screen to see if I got anything useful. About the only thing I wanted was to capture the afternoon light as I walked quickly by the Guggenheim. I was playing around with split toning and landed here.

I’ve never been in, but my modern architecture professor used to say on a near daily basis that Frank Lloyd Wright contended the building would outshine any art that was displayed inside. He may have been right. I think that others feel the same way, but not because the architecture is awesome. They feel that way because you can’t hang art on the walls; it’s a crap space for hanging art.

I’ve been by the museum a bunch of times, but never on foot and never in full daylight. Gorgeous building. Not sure about the addition.
