The sun was rising a couple of Sundays ago and I hadn’t really had a jaw dropper sunrise since moving in. I’ve been trying to have the camera at my side all the time so I wouldn’t miss shots like this. I opened the drapes and saw this. Grabbed the camera, aperture priority, ISO, 11 frames, done. Didn’t think I caught it until I pulled in the image. I didn’t think the foreground scraggly tree would be in focus.
All around the perimeter, the trees are showing signs of life. This tree is either dead or a late bloomer and I can’t believe I haven’t seen this shot before. The light had to be just right.
Daily affirmation: Patience. It’s not always instantaneous.
