Oh - I feel so sorry for you. We had a few flurries on Monday - but not real snow - nothing stuck to the ground. I *think* we’re done here in the midwest, but I guess you never know. Now we’ve got thunderstorms “scheduled” for 8 of the next 10 days.
I’m thinkin’…just maybe Heather might start to rethink her whole global warming concern, at least in SLC. Perhaps a more appropriate fear might be an upcoming ice age.
Sorry dude, it’s sunny and 80 here today in TN with stellar May winds. I can’t even imagine snow as of this calendar date.
For this reason, and the fact that it is landlocked, I only survived 13 months of living in Utah. My brother is being forced to serve a 2 year mission there. Well, that’s not why I’m not Mormon anymore, we’re gonna blame that on the tequila!
Global warming, or is it the next ice age? Freaky weather has been the norm for the past several years. I’m not Mormon, I’m not even Christian… a Unitarian Universalist… but I think GOD is sending messages to our country. A) You are waging a totally wrong war… and your president is stupid to boot. Therefore B) Hurricane Katrina - take out one of the most fun places in the US plus the coastal areas of MI & AL, C) more hurricanes hit Texas & Louisiana again, D) Freaky weather everywhere and throw in some serious global climate change (Hey we never signed the Kyoto agreement!), E) natural disasters (increase the # of fires in California, let them in on the fun.), F) drought increasing in some areas, G) snow in May in Utah… How’s that for messages from God?
Jon and Heather I commiserate….I’m sitting here sweating in a wool dress impatiently waiting for our winter to start. I know….rubbing it in.
Turn the central heating up to full and have a cold margarita.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Will it not end? I’m in Maine, for pete’s sake, and it ended here a few weeks ago. This is NOT FAIR for you. Not fair at all.

It’s going to snow again this weekend in MN, not looking forward to the continuation of winter.

Nice music, though. Can you tell me what it is?

Love the ambient music. It would be perfect for work. Who is the artist/album please?

This is just getting ridiculous. Will it ever end?
May 1st, 2008 at 12:49 pm
That makes me want to put my head in the oven.

You poor people. It snowed here in May one year, and I seriously thought I was going to have to be removed from the CN Tower by police helicopters.

Yeah, this is the point at which I would be doing one of the following:
a) building a bonfire on the lawn and dancing around it clothed in ritualistic robes, chanting, shaking beads and sacrificing icons to the flames;
b) writing a suicide blog to the internets and setting up the webcam to prove there was a really good reason;
c) contacting my relatives to move back in with them immediately. Even though they are crazy.
I really am pulling for you. I hope the weather gets springy soon!! It took longer than usual here in the northeast too!

One of the many reasons I’m glad to live in Texas.

I swear, I thought for sure, after about 30 seconds in to that video, that Heather was going to show up, run past the camera and off of the deck………
I’m in Kentucky and if it gets below 50 degrees right now I get depressed. I don’t see how you guys are handling this. Lots of bourbon, I hope.

Time to move back to CA!

Sounds like Boards of Canada. I don’t recognize the track though.
And I pity you and your May snowfall.
May 1st, 2008 at 1:25 pm
Yeah - it’s going to snow here as well.
Funny thing is, this is normal for us. Our last snowstorm is typically Memorial Day weekend.
But isn’t summer grand! Yay!

what a beating! i hope the sun comes out for you tomorrow.

Nothing (as in NOTHING) you can do about it; might as well enjoy it.
…or invest heavily in antidepressants and full-spectrum sun lamps.
Personally, I’m still envious.

This is why I don’t live in Utah.

Has it not been the freakiest weather ever!!??
May 1st, 2008 at 3:14 pm
I think it’s Boards of Canada. Pick one. Doesn’t matter which. All their songs sound the same.
I keed! I keed!
Also. I had to sweep off my car AGAIN this morning. *grumpy*
