I’m playing around with a set of new tools; some filters that I’m not sure I’m going to keep playing with. This image was a keeper from a recent edit session. This was shot back in March during the monumental photowalk organized by Scott Jarvie. I’ve shared a couple of other exterior images from this part of the walk (here, here) and meant to post this one months ago. Months.

To say that I’ve lost a sense of time this year would be an understatement. I’m not so much lost as outside of time. Sometimes I’m watching this year, sometimes I’m in it. Sometimes it’s my worst nightmare. Sometimes it is still moments in bed at dawn before the 15 minute alarms start the riot to get the girls out the door on time.

Affirmation: Today I will do something great for somebody else.

Absolutely everything about your second paragraph resonates with me. Every goddamn thing. Thank you for putting it into words.

Now I want to go do something great for someone else.

Omg, gorgeous. All the lines in this photo — the buildings, the ripples in the water, the stonework, the sky, the stairs and things inside the right-hand building — everything really hits me.
